Argentinian beards, Strikes and Bus rides

So I haven't posted anything here for a while but I had some observations that I thought might be interesting.  I will be leaving Buenos Aires soon = maybe in another two months or less.. I am going to be sad to say good bye to all  my new friends here. Its been quite an adventure.. Never drank and smoked so much in my life..  but wtfc  ( who tf cares)  lol  I had a good time and learned alot about myself in the meantime..
Anyway

Argentinians seem to have this idea that beards should be left to grow wild like weeds on their faces as if it was some symbol of manliness. In the USA the beards are trimmed and coiffed. while here in Buenos Aires, they like to grow it out of their necks. Personally I think it looks unkempt.  a poco sucio. if ya know what I mean. SO I asked my fellow worker  whats up with the beard from the neck up style.  Apparently... to keep it all clean and neat is a  well a..  a bit ..  a bit... gay.!
 hmmm
SO to be sloppy and nasty is more masculine.. I hate to ask if they manscape.  Must be a jungle.. down there..
I wont draw that in case I frighten the kids.
but here are my illustrations of the two kinds of beards from two continents...
and now...

Notice the Italian influenced nose  thats very prevalent here in BsAs..

On to other subjects

apparently, striking is a hobby here.. Last week the subway workers striked for 7 days..  the city was in chaos.. There alot of people to move in this huge city.!!
We applaud for   anyone leaving the studio or if its their birthday or for anything, for that matter,  having a baby, survivng a motorcycle accident..   whatever.. we Argentinians will applaud for anything..!! ) ( I notice that when a plane lands in a south american country  the passengers applaud..  Like what does that mean  ?   were we lucky that we landed and we are congratulating the captain?).

ANd now for an adventure..  I ride the bus everyday..  There are buses everywhere and so many..  when you wait for a bus, you can wait ten minutes and then... sudenly.. yo see your bus..followed by another bus of the same number  and another one of the same number  ALL IN  A ROW!!!..   wtf.!!  they must play race the other bus. or something..
Once I saw 4 of my buses ( number 55) one after the other after I spent 15 minutes waiting..  .
Here is what is like to ride the bus ..   Notice in the street how many buses there are.. !! crazy..

Adios  for now!!
